Growing up that's all I did. I just spent time and I taught myself how to hit all those different kinds of shots. And then, since the grooves and the golf ball changed over the years, my short game started to struggle a couple years ago. Just the way I went about it didn't work anymore. And I started working with Gabriel Hjertstedt on my short game a year and a half ago. And it's just gotten back to where it was. It just changed a little technique.

But I just think I have a really good imagination I feel like, and I see shots that not everyone else sees, and I don't think I'm scared to try them.

You've got to have guts to have a really good short game I think. Because you get in difficult spots where there's a percentage shot, where you don't make a big number. Or there's the risky one where-- and that's why I like Phil Mickelson's game so much. He's never scared to try that tough shot and pull it off.

There's so many ways-- like me and Elk were talking yesterday about how I saw a different shot than he did. But it's just-- and there's not a right or wrong way. It's just whatever you see and what you're comfortable with.
