You can't play golf and be thinking about a lot of things, other than just a natural swing, as though you were going to throw a club.
What do you tell the average guy that's watching the show that he doesn't know where to put his elbow? Is there a way that we get these guys started?
No. All I want to tell this guy is to go around himself with a club. Put your hands on it and go around like that. Golf is a round game. It's round ball, a round the cup. And so you don't swing up and down. My friend Tiger, he got hurt doing that. His shoulders go down and then he takes that lick out of his back. And I hope he's watching because you swing your arms around you. You don't swing up and down.
You walk that grip in. You walk the club in. Step out on that right shoe, correctly. There, that's correct. Now just swing around.
That's a nice swing.
I think hitting some balls in front of him on the range, that helped a lot. Him giving me some confidence saying, hey, I like the way your swing was looking.
Boy, he hit that. Did you see that?
He got a good swing.
He's already got his grip. Now he's looking for his balance and his time. Now he's getting his timing and his balance. Now he goes around. And that's all you do.
